Steps & Gestures
Steps and Gestures EP was recorded live in Athens, Greece and Kassel, Germany and echoes a series of live performances and radio interventions by artist Anton Kats at the contemporary art exhibition documenta 14. Supposedly aiming to investigate the relationships between chromatic chords in music via modular synthesis these events oscillated situations, rhythms, sounds and movements favouring musical composition as improvised gestures and steps towards the unknown. Accompanied by four video sketches drawing on the notion of futurism in the Soviet Union the record will be released as a limited edition of three hundred copies and can be pre-ordered now at: https://ilyich.bandcamp.com
